Kyle Mills

Kyle Mills is a New York Times bestselling author recognized for his contributions to political thriller fiction. Mills has written 24 political thrillers, including nine novels in Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series and three for the Covert-One series created by Robert Ludlum. He began his career with the novel "Rising Phoenix," which introduced the Mark Beamon series, featuring the FBI special agent in titles such as "Storming Heaven," "Sphere of Influence," "Free Fall," and "Darkness Falls."

Mills draws on his background for authenticity in his writing. Inspired by his father, an FBI agent and former Interpol director, Mills continues to consult contacts in the intelligence community to enhance the realism of his books. His experience in corporate America, particularly in banking, also informs the grounded nature of his narratives. Additional works in the Covert-One series include "The Ares Decision," "The Utopia Experiment," and "The Patriot Attack."

Mills was selected to continue the Mitch Rapp franchise after the death of Vince Flynn, becoming the first author to write in the series following Flynn. Over nine books, including "The Survivor," "Order to Kill," "Red War," "Lethal Agent," "Total Power," "Enemy at the Gates," "Oath of Loyalty," and "Code Red," Mills maintained the series' presence on bestseller lists. After "Code Red," Mills announced his departure from the series.

After his work on the Mitch Rapp series, Mills returned to his original characters, including former Navy SEAL Salam Al-Fayed, known as Fade, first introduced in the book "Fade." Mills continued the story with "Fade In," which explores international espionage, power dynamics, and global terrorism. The book has received recognition from authors in the thriller genre.
