Kurt Volker Biography
Kurt Volker has a wide range of experience in international relations and politics, with a particular focus on transatlantic relations. From 2008 to 2009, he served as the U.S. Ambassador to NATO, bolstering alliances and managing diplomatic relations. In 2017, Volker took on the role of U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine, a position he held until 2019. Additionally, he has held prominent roles in various think tanks and organizations, such as the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, the Atlantic Council, and The American College of the Mediterranean.
Volker's work in international relations has extended beyond the public sector into the private sphere. He currently serves as a managing director at the BGR Group, a notable lobbying firm and investment bank based in Washington. He also represents U.S. investors who co-founded American University Kyiv in partnership with Arizona State University.
