Kathryn Koch

Kathryn Koch is the president and chief executive officer of TCW Group Inc., a global asset management firm with nearly $200 billion in assets under management. As CEO and a member of the board of directors, Koch is responsible for the strategic direction and day-to-day management of the firm, overseeing global teams and supporting investment performance for a diverse client base that includes major pension plans, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.

Before joining TCW, Koch spent two decades at Goldman Sachs, where she became a partner in the Asset Management Division. She served as chief investment officer of the $300 billion public equity business and was a member of the division’s executive committee. Her international experience includes a decade in London, where she led the Multi-Asset Solutions business, developing expertise in global investment strategies and multi-stakeholder management.

Koch has appeared on platforms such as the Redefiners Podcast and previously co-hosted the "Talks at GS" interview series at Goldman Sachs. She serves on several boards, including the University of Notre Dame, The Investment Fund for Foundations, and the Toigo Foundation, reflecting her involvement in advancing the investment profession and supporting future leaders. Koch is recognized as a voice in asset management and frequently participates in industry events and conferences.
