Kristen Scholer

Kristen Scholer is a leading figure in financial journalism, serving as senior manager of content and main on-air anchor at the New York Stock Exchange. In this role, Scholer leads programming from both the studio and the trading floor, covering developments in equity, mortgage, commodity, fixed income, and digital asset markets.

Scholer anchors NYSE TV Live, a weekday morning program broadcast live from the NYSE trading floor. The show covers news impacting global markets and the economy, airing from 9 to 10 a.m. ET on weekdays across multiple streaming platforms. It features interviews with market and industry experts, as well as business and political leaders visiting the exchange.

Scholer’s career in business news began at CNBC, where she started as a producer on the news desk before being promoted to markets producer at the New York Stock Exchange. She also reported for The Wall Street Journal, writing a daily markets column, and worked as an equity capital markets reporter at Bloomberg. Additionally, Scholer contributed to footnoted, where she analyzed SEC filings and reported on material information.

Scholer was the first anchor at Cheddar, helping to launch the business news network. At Cheddar, she hosted multiple live hours from the NYSE floor and anchored "Vanity Fair's The Hive," a weekly program focused on the intersection of Washington, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley. During her tenure, she interviewed figures such as Melinda Gates, Mary Barra, Tom Brady, and Shaquille O'Neal.

Scholer has reported from major industry events, including the Aspen Ideas Festival and the All-In Liquidity Summit, where she interviewed business leaders such as Bill Ackman of Pershing Square and Nikesh Arora of Palo Alto Networks. She has also conducted interviews in Colorado with Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe about the company's new model. At the Aspen Ideas Festival, Scholer served as moderator for a session on economic leadership in America.

Scholer holds a degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where she co-anchored an Emmy Award-winning newscast. She also holds minors in economics and politics and completed a Certificate in Financial Analysis at New York University.
