Krishna Jonnalagadda

Krishna Jonnalagadda is the chief technology officer of GE Vernova, an energy technology company focused on electrification and decarbonization. In this role, Jonnalagadda leads the Advanced Research Center and technology strategy teams, and oversees collaboration with national laboratories, academic institutions, and the venture community. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University, a doctorate in theoretical and applied mechanics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Prior to joining GE Vernova, Jonnalagadda served as chief technology officer and senior vice president of strategy for the industrial sector at Eaton, where he led the global engineering and technology organization and managed strategic planning, including mergers and acquisitions. He also held the position of senior vice president and general manager of the Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division at Eaton, with full profit and loss responsibility. Earlier in his career, Jonnalagadda held leadership roles at GE Aviation, focusing on strategic planning, business development, and technology management in the aerospace sector, providing experience across both industrial and energy domains.

At GE Vernova, Jonnalagadda contributes to the global conversation on the energy transition. He has delivered keynote addresses, including "Drive the Energy Transition Forward," sharing GE Vernova's approach to electrification and decarbonization with audiences that include student innovators and industry executives. Jonnalagadda has represented the company at forums such as CERAWeek and Aspen Ideas Festival, and has spoken at the Greentown Labs Climatetech Summit on advancing clean energy. His work includes establishing institutional partnerships, such as a collaboration with Imperial College London to accelerate research in energy technologies and support workforce development in the energy sector.

Jonnalagadda's technical leadership at GE Vernova supports the company's goal of adding 150 gigawatts of new power generating capacity to the global grid, spanning gas, nuclear, grid technologies, carbon capture, hydrogen, wind, and solar energy solutions. His expertise in engineering, energy technology, and strategic planning positions him as a knowledgeable voice on the future of energy, engaging with policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and the public on challenges and opportunities in the energy sector.
