Kolby Cooper is a Texas-born country artist whose music fuses gritty Southern rock with emotionally charged storytelling. Born in Bradford, Texas, he grew up listening to outlaw country legends like Waylon Jennings and Cross Canadian Ragweed, as well as grunge and punk bands such as Nirvana and Blink-182. This eclectic mix of influences shaped his distinctive "country grunge" sound.
Cooper began writing songs in his early teens and released his debut single, "Every Single Kiss," in 2017. By 2019, he had released his first EP, Vol. 1, which included two Top 5 singles. In 2022, Cooper signed with BBR Music Group's Wheelhouse imprint and released his debut album, Boy from Anderson County to the Moon, featuring the single "Excuses," which reached number 35 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. His follow-up album, Love You, Goodnight, released in 2025, delves into themes of love, internal conflict, and authenticity.
