Klay Thompson

Klay Thompson is a professional basketball player known for his three-point shooting and contributions to the National Basketball Association. Selected by the Golden State Warriors as the 11th overall pick in the NBA Draft, Thompson established himself as a key figure in the Warriors' championship teams. Alongside Stephen Curry, Thompson formed the "Splash Brothers," a duo recognized for their long-range shooting and impact on modern basketball strategy. In one season, Thompson and Curry set an NBA record with 484 combined three-pointers.

Thompson is a four-time NBA champion, a five-time NBA All-Star, a two-time All-NBA Third Team selection, and has earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors. He set an NBA record by scoring 37 points in a single quarter against the Sacramento Kings, finishing that game with 52 points. Thompson also scored 60 points in 29 minutes against the Indiana Pacers and holds the record for the most playoff games with eight or more made three-pointers. Internationally, he won gold medals with the United States national team at the FIBA Basketball World Cup and the Olympic Games.

Thompson's career includes a return from consecutive injuries, including a torn ACL and a ruptured Achilles tendon, which sidelined him for more than two seasons. After his recovery, he contributed to another NBA championship with the Warriors.

Thompson was acquired by the Mavericks from the Warriors in a multi-team trade. After two seasons in Dallas, he joined the Miami Heat following a contract buyout.
