Kimiko Glenn

Kimiko Glenn is an American actress, singer, and performer known for her work across stage, screen, and animation. Glenn began her career in musical theater, leaving the Boston Conservatory during her freshman year after being cast in the first U.S. national tour of "Spring Awakening." She went on to perform in notable stage productions, including the title character in The Flaming Lips musical "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" at La Jolla Playhouse and in Shakespeare in the Park's production of "Love's Labour's Lost" at the Delacorte Theater.

Glenn gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Brook Soso in the Netflix comedy-drama series "Orange Is the New Black." She joined the series in its second season and appeared throughout the show's run, earning three Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series. Glenn's experience on the show also led her to advocate for performers' rights, notably speaking out about residual payments during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which brought attention to compensation issues in streaming television.

Beyond "Orange Is the New Black," Glenn made her Broadway debut as Dawn in the musical "Waitress," which received nominations for a Tony Award for Best Musical and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical.
