Kikkan Randall Biography
Kikkan Randall is an Olympic champion cross-country skier. She has 29 World Cup podiums, 17 US National titles, and five Winter Olympic Games appearances. Moreover, she has the highest finish by an American woman at the World Championships, second in the Sprint in Liberec in 2009. She was the first American female cross-country skier to take a top ten finish in World Cup competition, to win a World Cup race, and to win a World Cup discipline title.
Randall and Jessie Diggins also won the United States' first-ever cross-country skiing gold medal at the Winter Olympics in women's team sprint at Pyeongchang in 2018. Just over 3 months after achieving her lifelong goal of winning an Olympic gold medal, Randall was diagnosed with Stage 2 triple positive breast cancer.
Through her experience in active treatment and in the months since, Randall has been an advocate for breast cancer awareness and research.
