Kiah Williams

Kiah is co-founder of SIRUM, a social enterprise dedicated to expanding healthcare access for patients in need. As the nation's largest redistributor of surplus medicine, SIRUM helps health facilities and pharmacies donate unused medicine and get it to where it's needed most. SIRUM has redistributed over $325 million worth of prescription medicine to date, helping 850,000+ patients who wouldn't otherwise have access.

Prior to co-founding SIRUM, Williams led negotiations for the Clinton Foundation and American Heart Association to create the Alliance Healthcare Initiative. This public-private partnership between Fortune 500 companies expanded healthcare benefits for 2 million children through 50,000 healthcare providers and empowered families to partner with care providers to treat and prevent childhood obesity, an emerging public health issue. She brings deep experience in effective public-private partnerships, program evaluation, and community building from her time organizing at the NAACP.

Williams has been recognized for her work at SIRUM as a Forbes 30-Under-30 Social Entrepreneur, one of America's 50 Most Influential Women by Marie Claire, a Silicon Valley Business Journal 40-Under-40, a Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation Entrepreneur, a Westly Foundation Social Innovator, a 2014 Grinnell Prize winner for social justice innovation, and a member of the World Economic Forum's Class of 2022 Young Global Leaders. SIRUM is backed by TED's Audacious Project and won the grand prize in Forbes' Change the World Competition. Williams has spoken on TED's Next Stage at TEDNext 2025 in Atlanta and at the Aspen Ideas Festival.

Williams earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Stanford University, where she was also the president of the student NAACP chapter. Williams proudly hails from West Philadelphia and is passionate about health equity in underserved communities.
