Khadijah Tribble

Khadijah A. Tribble is a leading voice at the intersection of cannabis policy, social equity, and criminal justice reform in the United States. An entrepreneur, activist, and policy expert, Tribble has focused her career on advancing equity and inclusion within the cannabis industry. She has advised cannabis investors, government regulators, entrepreneurs, and businesses on policy, business development, and community impact. Tribble holds an MPA from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and is a graduate of the Cheng Fellows Program, leveraging her training and experience to drive change in cannabis regulation.

Tribble's career includes founding Marijuana Matters, a cannabis education and advocacy incubator, and the Marijuana Policy Trust, a think tank dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse cannabis industry. Through advocacy, entrepreneurship, and education, Marijuana Matters works to remove barriers to economic opportunity in regulated cannabis markets for individuals disadvantaged by marijuana criminalization. Prior to her work in cannabis, Tribble served as chief executive of Ground Game, LLC, a consultancy focused on health technologies, and co-founded United Medical Center's Rose Clinic, the first hospital-based clinic in the epicenter of the Washington, D.C. HIV epidemic.

Tribble's influence extends into both the cannabis industry and government. The US Cannabis Council named her CEO, recognizing her expertise in cannabis reform and equity. She has also served as senior vice president of corporate social responsibility for Curaleaf, a multi-state cannabis operator, where she developed and executed "Rooted in Good," a corporate social responsibility program. Tribble has held the role of managing director at the Maryland Cannabis Administration, which was established to implement a safe, accessible, and equitable medical and adult-use cannabis industry in Maryland.

A frequent public speaker, Tribble has delivered TED Talks, including "How marijuana reform could repair, reclaim and restore communities," where she discussed the impact of the war on drugs and advocated for restorative justice in cannabis reform. She has presented at conferences nationwide and has been featured in media outlets such as Forbes, NPR, and Politico.

Tribble's civic engagement includes service on boards and advisory groups such as the Women in the Life Association, the CTF Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce, the Human Rights Campaign's Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Board, the United Medical Center Board of Directors, and the Community Wellness Collective. She was also a founding member of the National LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce Supplier Diversity Committee. Tribble remains active in shaping a more equitable future for the cannabis industry and the communities most affected by prohibition.
