Kevin Streelman

Kevin Streelman is an American professional golfer known for his career on the PGA Tour. Raised in the Chicago suburbs, Streelman developed his early interest in golf by caddying at Chicago Golf Club, a venue that has hosted the U.S. Open multiple times. He later joined the golf team at Duke University, where he served as co-captain and built the competitive skills that would shape his professional path.

After graduating from Duke, Streelman spent six years competing on the mini-tour circuit, including the Dakotas Tour, Gateway Tour, Hooters Tour, and US Pro Golf Tour. He traveled extensively, covering more than 300,000 miles in pursuit of a PGA Tour card. Streelman secured his place on the PGA Tour through qualifying school, beginning his rookie season with four top-10 finishes and a 35th-place finish in the FedEx Cup standings. Early in his Tour career, he won the $1 million Kodak Challenge, demonstrating his readiness for top-level competition.

Streelman achieved his first PGA Tour victory at the Tampa Bay Championship, defeating Boo Weekley by two strokes. He followed this with a record-setting performance at the Travelers Championship, closing his final round with seven consecutive birdies—a PGA Tour record for the most consecutive birdies to win a tournament—and finishing ahead of Sergio García and K.J. Choi by one stroke. This win elevated him to a career-best world ranking of 36th. Streelman has also won the Masters Par-3 Contest and has earned more than $27 million in career prize money, with over 40 top-10 finishes. He served on the PGA Tour's player policy board for three years, contributing to player advocacy and governance.

Off the course, Streelman is involved in charitable work and community service. He and his wife, Courtney, have partnered with Compassion International to support child development centers in Togo, West Africa. Streelman has co-hosted a charity golf tournament in Raleigh, North Carolina, and has supported the PGA Tour's Birdies for the Brave initiative, which benefits military veterans and their families. Streelman's career highlights his persistence and commitment to both professional golf and community engagement.
