Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick is a prominent figure in NASCAR, recognized for his extensive career as a driver and his contributions to motorsports broadcasting. Harvick's entry into NASCAR came under unique circumstances when he was selected to replace Dale Earnhardt following Earnhardt's passing. Early in his rookie season, Harvick secured a victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway, earning NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year honors and establishing himself as a significant presence in the sport. In the same year, he won the Busch Series championship, claimed two Cup races, and finished ninth in the Cup standings.

Over more than two decades of full-time competition, Harvick achieved notable milestones in stock car racing. He is one of only four drivers to win all four of NASCAR's crown jewel events: the Daytona 500, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Harvick captured the Cup Series championship as well as two Xfinity Series championships. His first season with Stewart-Haas Racing resulted in a Cup Series championship, and he adapted to NASCAR's elimination-style playoff format to secure the title. Harvick is known by the nickname The Closer, reflecting his reputation for strong finishes in the closing laps of races.

Harvick recorded 22 Cup wins with Richard Childress Racing before joining Stewart-Haas Racing, where he added 35 Cup Series victories, including eight in one season and a career-high nine in another. His career totals include 60 NASCAR Cup Series wins, 251 top-five and 444 top-10 finishes, and 31 pole positions. Harvick's 121 combined national series wins rank him third all-time in NASCAR history, behind Richard Petty and Kyle Busch. Off the track, he has been recognized with an ESPY Award for Best Driver and has appeared on NBC's Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Following a championship-winning career spanning 23 full-time NASCAR Cup Series seasons, Harvick transitioned to broadcasting, joining FOX Sports as an analyst for NASCAR Cup Series races. He also co-hosts the FOX Sports original podcast "Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour" presented by NASCAR on FOX. Harvick was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2027, receiving 92 percent of the Modern Era ballot votes. In addition to his broadcasting work, Harvick is involved in team ownership and mentoring emerging talent in motorsports. His career continues to influence the NASCAR community through his expertise in racing strategy, analysis, and leadership.
