Kevin Clash is a puppeteer renowned for his work on "Sesame Street," where he portrayed Elmo from 1985 to 2012. Beyond Elmo, Clash's puppetry and voice work extended to characters such as Splinter in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," Baby Sinclair in "Dinosaurs," and Clifford in "Muppets Tonight." He also contributed to films like "Labyrinth" (1986) and "The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland" (1999).
In 2011, Clash was the subject of the documentary "Being Elmo: A Puppeteer's Journey," which chronicled his rise from a young Baltimore native to becoming the voice behind one of television's most beloved characters. Narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, the film offered an intimate look at Clash's career and the artistry behind puppetry.
