Kerri Kenney-Silver

Kerri Kenney-Silver is an actress, comedian, writer, singer, and musician whose career spans television, film, and music. Kenney-Silver attended New York University, where she joined the sketch comedy group The New Group, which later became The State. The group produced a self-titled sketch comedy show on MTV, "The State," which ran for three seasons. She was the show's only female cast member, highlighting her unique comedic perspective early in her career. Kenney-Silver co-wrote and starred in "Viva Variety," a parody of variety shows that aired on Comedy Central for two seasons.

Kenney-Silver is known for her role as Trudy Wiegel on the mockumentary series "Reno 911!" on Comedy Central, a parody of police reality shows such as COPS, featuring fellow members of The State, including Thomas Lennon, Ben Garant, and Joe Lo Truglio. She has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on the series. In addition to her on-screen performance, Kenney-Silver is credited as a writer for more than 100 episodes of "Reno 911!" and its spin-off movies, and she served as executive producer for all of the spin-off films as well as over 120 episodes of the series.

Kenney-Silver reprised her role as Deputy Trudy Wiegel in the Paramount+ movie "Reno 911! The Hunt for QAnon" and in the eighth season, titled "Reno 911! Defunded," which premiered on The Roku Channel. Her film credits include appearances in "All About Steve," "Reno 911!: Miami," "National Lampoon's Pledge This!," "Balls of Fury," "The Ten," "Role Models," and "Wanderlust." On television, Kenney-Silver played the recurring role of Syd in the Netflix comedy series "Love" and appeared as Jerusha Sturgis on the NBC sitcom "Superstore." She also featured in Netflix's "The Four Seasons."

In addition to her acting career, Kenney-Silver was the lead vocalist and bassist for the all-female rock band Cake Like, which released three albums. She has an extensive voice acting résumé, contributing to animated series such as Nickelodeon's "Invader Zim," Disney's "Buzz Lightyear of Star Command," and voicing the character Miriam in Nickelodeon's "Harvey Beaks." Kenney-Silver has discussed the importance of adaptability in the entertainment industry, noting that her achievements reflect an ability to evolve with changing trends.
