Kendall Coyne Schofield

Kendall Coyne Schofield is widely recognized as a formidable force in the world of women's ice hockey. As the captain of both the Minnesota Frost and the United States national team, Schofield's leadership skills have been instrumental in guiding her teams to significant victories. Her resume boasts seven gold medals from the IIHF World Women's Championships, as well as gold medals from the 2018 and 2026 Winter Olympics. Schofield further demonstrated her prowess by leading the Minnesota Frost to back-to-back Walter Cup championships in 2024 and 2025. In 2019, she added another feather to her cap by winning the Isobel Cup championship with the Minnesota Whitecaps in the National Women's Hockey League.

Off the ice, Schofield's accomplishments are equally impressive. In 2016, she was honored with the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award as the top player in NCAA women's hockey and the Hockey Humanitarian Award for her community service efforts. She has also made strides in the broadcasting world, having worked as a color commentator for the San Jose Sharks. A milestone in her career came in 2020 when she was hired as a player development coach for the Rockford IceHogs, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks. Additionally, Schofield made history in January 2019 when she became the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition.

As a founding board member of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA), Schofield has played a crucial role in advocating for the growth and development of women's hockey. She also served as president of the PWHPA and was instrumental in organizing the Dream Gap Tour from 2019 to 2023. Outside of hockey, Schofield has made her mark in the entertainment industry, lending her voice to a character in the 2024 film "Inside Out 2". She also authored an autobiography titled "As Fast As Her: Dream Big, Break Barriers, Achieve Success," further cementing her status as a role model for aspiring athletes everywhere.
