Kelli O'Hara

Kelli O'Hara is an actress and singer recognized for her work on Broadway and opera stages. O'Hara has received a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award, along with nominations for three Grammy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. After winning the State Metropolitan Opera Competition, O'Hara moved to New York City and enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Institute for acting, beginning a career that has resulted in numerous accolades in musical theater and opera.

O'Hara's Broadway career began with a national tour of "Jekyll & Hyde" before she appeared in a series of productions on Broadway. She has been nominated for or won a Tony Award for every subsequent role she has played on Broadway. Her credits include Babe Williams in the revival of "The Pajama Game," Ensign Nellie Forbush in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of "South Pacific," Billie Bendix in the premiere of "Nice Work If You Can Get It," and Francesca in the premiere of "The Bridges of Madison County." O'Hara portrayed Anna Leonowens in the revival of "The King and I," earning the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. She reprised this role in the West End, receiving a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical.

O'Hara has also made a crossover into opera, making her Metropolitan Opera debut in Lehár's "The Merry Widow" opposite Renée Fleming, and later performing as Despina in Mozart's "Così Fan Tutte." She returned to the Met as Laura Brown in Kevin Puts' "The Hours," a role she performed alongside Renée Fleming and Joyce DiDonato. That production received a Grammy nomination for Best Opera Recording. O'Hara's solo albums, "Always" and "Wonder in the World," are available on Ghostlight Records.

In addition to her stage work, O'Hara received an Emmy Award nomination for her portrayal of Katie Bonner in the web series "The Accidental Wolf," and appears on HBO's "The Gilded Age," which was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She has also starred opposite Tom Hanks in the world premiere of the Off-Broadway play "This World of Tomorrow," and appears in the CBS series "Sheriff Country" and Ryan Murphy's FX series "The Beauty." O'Hara is a frequent performer on PBS live telecasts and at the Kennedy Center Honors, and performs regularly with the New York Philharmonic and the New York Pops.

O'Hara starred in the Broadway engagement of the musical "Days of Wine and Roses," winning the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Broadway Musical, and receiving Tony and Drama League nominations. She also returned to Broadway in the revival of "Fallen Angels" opposite Rose Byrne, earning another Tony nomination.
