Kehlani

Kehlani made their mark on the music industry with a string of successful albums and singles, many of which have achieved notable chart success. Their debut studio album, "SweetSexySavage", released in 2017, peaked at number three on the Billboard 200, followed by a second album, "It Was Good Until It Wasn't", which peaked at number two in 2020. Their subsequent albums "Blue Water Road" and "Crash" also enjoyed chart success. As a former member of the teen pop group PopLyfe, Kehlani began their solo career releasing critically acclaimed mixtapes like "Cloud 19" and "You Should Be Here", both receiving gold certifications by the RIAA. Their song "Folded" won Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards.

Off the stage, Kehlani has been involved in activism and entrepreneurship, notably supporting Palestine and expressing this through their music and social media. Kehlani, who identifies as a lesbian and prefers "they" pronouns, has expressed the importance of including female pronouns in their music, and they have spoken publicly about being a survivor of sexual assault. Additionally, they launched merchandise in 2024 to aid Palestinian, Congolese, and Sudanese families, with all proceeds going to Operation Olive Branch.

Aside from their music and activism, Kehlani has also ventured into acting, appearing in "The L Word: Generation Q" as Ivy in 2022 and in "Creed III" as themselves in 2023. They also headlined concert performances at the 2023 WNBA All-Star Game and the 2023 MLS All-Star Game, demonstrating their versatility and broad appeal. Kehlani's achievements have been recognized with nominations and awards, including the Rulebreaker Award at the Billboard Women in Music in 2017 and The Alchemist Award at the Give Her FlowHERS Awards in 2022.
