Kayleen McCabe

Kayleen McCabe is a licensed contractor, television personality, and advocate for skilled trades with a career spanning more than two decades in the construction industry. McCabe began her professional journey in television production on construction-themed shows before transitioning to hands-on work in the field. Her career in home improvement television launched after winning DIY Network's "Stud Finder" competition, where she was selected from approximately 5,000 applicants and became the only woman among the final five finalists.

Following her competition win, McCabe hosted DIY Network's "Rescue Renovation" for five seasons, producing nearly 100 episodes. On the show, she assisted homeowners in resolving problematic renovation projects, providing expert analysis and practical solutions. Her work on "Rescue Renovation" earned her recognition in home renovation television and positioned her as one of the few female hosts in the genre.

Outside of television, McCabe is a keynote speaker who has addressed organizations such as the American General Contractors Association, the Association for Career and Technical Education, SkillsUSA, and WorldSkills. She has also spoken at the International Builders' Show, participating in discussions on workforce development in the building and construction sectors. McCabe regularly visits schools, industry conferences, and community events across the United States and internationally, promoting vocational education and advocating for careers in the skilled trades.

McCabe co-founded the McCabe Foundation, a nonprofit organization focused on closing the skills gap in the United States by providing scholarships and encouraging students and veterans to pursue careers in construction and related trades. She collaborates with organizations including WorldSkills, NAWIC, and SkillsUSA, and has developed instructional video content used in educational curricula in locations such as Nova Scotia, Canada. Her involvement in community projects, educational workshops, and charity events reflects her commitment to supporting the next generation of skilled workers.
