Katy B Biography
Kathleen Anne Brien, better known as Katy B, is an English singer and songwriter born in Peckham, South London. Other BRIT alumni who have found success include Amy Winehouse, Jessie J, Leona Lewis and Adele who was in the year above Katy. Having been offered major label deals in 2009, she released her first single with the label Rinse in 2010. The same year, she completed a degree in Popular Music at Goldsmiths, University of London. She released her debut studio album, On a Mission, in 2011, which spawned two top five hits, "Katy on a Mission" and "Lights On". In 2014 she released her second studio album, Little Red, which produced her third top five hit, "Crying for No Reason". Her third, and most recent, studio album, Honey, was released in 2016. She is a Dubstep, RnB, funky, house and UK Garage singer and has also performed under the name Baby Katy.
