Kate Strickler

Kate Strickler is the creator of Naptime Kitchen, a space dedicated to simple recipes, practical home hacks, and honest reflections on motherhood.

In January 2016, while living in a small rental with her six-month-old, she began experimenting in the kitchen during nap times. What started as a way to channel boredom quickly turned into a creative outlet. From there, Naptime Kitchen was born.

As Strickler began sharing cooking tips, time-saving strategies, and household organization ideas—many of which she learned from her own mother—she discovered that what came naturally to her was new and valuable to others. Over time, her platform expanded beyond recipes to include encouragement for new moms and insights into family life.

As her own family grew, Strickler found herself writing more frequently, offering both lighthearted observations and deeper reflections on parenting and home life. To her surprise, her words resonated deeply with others navigating similar seasons.

Today, with four children, a bustling household, and plenty of dry shampoo, Strickler continues to show the “normal” side of social media. Whether through a recipe, kitchen tip, or bit of perspective, she seeks to bring humor and joy into the often overwhelming tasks of feeding a family and running a home. Her goal is to inspire others to create meals that are budget-friendly and approachable, and to cultivate a home that feels like a place of rest.
