Kate Sasser

Kate Sasser is the chief scientific officer at Tempus, a company specializing in artificial intelligence and precision medicine. With more than 20 years of experience across academia, biotechnology, and the pharmaceutical industry, Sasser focuses on translational research and the advancement of personalized healthcare. Her expertise includes the integration of multimodal data, AI-driven analytics, and the development of solutions that accelerate drug discovery and improve patient outcomes in oncology, cardiology, and neurology.

Before joining Tempus, Sasser held senior leadership positions at Genmab, where she oversaw translational research, precision medicine, and research and development operations focused on antibody therapeutics. She also led oncology translational research at Johnson & Johnson, leveraging data science to expedite clinical development. Sasser holds a doctorate in integrated biomedical sciences from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Oregon State University.
