Karolina Wydra

Karolina Wydra is a Polish-American actress whose career includes work in modeling, film, and television, highlighted by an Emmy nomination for her performance in science fiction drama. Wydra began her career after winning a model contest sponsored by Lee Jeans, appearing in print campaigns for Armani Exchange, Calvin Klein, and other fashion brands. She transitioned to acting with roles in the comedy "Be Kind Rewind" and the drama "Sugar," later securing a supporting part in the romantic comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love."

Wydra's breakthrough on American television came with the medical drama "House," where she played Dominika Petrova, an immigrant who enters a marriage of convenience with Dr. Gregory House. She went on to leading film roles in the thriller "After" and the science fiction film "Europa Report." Wydra gained wider recognition as Violet Mazurski, a vampire character on HBO's "True Blood," initially as a recurring role before joining the main cast.
