Karen Karniol Tambour

Karen Karniol-Tambour is co-chief investment officer at Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund, where she leads the firm’s investment process and the systemization of research into trading strategies. She manages the development of proprietary investment models, directs the design and implementation of client investment strategies, and co-leads Bridgewater’s sustainable investing efforts, creating solutions that balance financial returns with sustainability objectives. Karniol-Tambour shares her expertise with clients and global policymakers through Bridgewater’s Daily Observations and participates in industry forums, including the World Economic Forum and Barron's centennial roundtable discussions.

After graduating from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, Karniol-Tambour joined Bridgewater and established herself as an expert on global markets and systematic investing.
