Kanene Holder

Kanene Ayo Holder is a three-time National Endowment for the Humanities award-winning educator and AI strategist. As the “FutureFixer”, she advises organizations, including The United Nations HIVE, Shutterstock, The American Red Cross, and others, on AI ethics, the future of work, innovation, emotional intelligence and creative brand strategy.

Holder is currently guest lecturing for MIT’s AI Professional Learning class. Holder is also the Brand Evangelist for the Brands Safety Summit advocating for better data practices in the adtech industry and digital safety for children.

With a certificate in Applied Generative Al for Digital Transformation from MIT, Holder curates inclusive datasets for GenAI chatbots including EMPWRD, and helps leaders and teams navigate AI's disruptive potential with integrity and foresight. Holder also received numerous fellowships and awards for her innovative inclusion strategies, storytelling and comedy including Yale’s Thread for Non-Fiction Storytelling, Columbia University’s Community Scholar’s Program and Colin Powell Center for Policy Study.

Holder has given keynotes and performed comedy about education, phone bans, fashion, AI and social media at various venues including Fast Company’s Innovation Festival, SXSW EDU, Carat Dentsu’s Innovation Summit: The Future With AI, the Museum of Art and Design, Brooklyn Museum, The New York Times Center and the Public Theater’s Joe’s Pub. Holder is highly sought after to combine deep insights in a highly engaging and entertaining way. Holder is also on the advisory board for The Alliance for Women in Media (NYC Affiliate) and the United Nations’ The Hive USA for UNHCR – The UN Refugee Agency thrilled to support both with strategic AI advising.
