Kevin Elijah Burgess, known professionally as KB, is an American Christian rapper, author, speaker, and podcaster recognized for his influence in Christian hip-hop. Burgess's path to music began after overcoming personal challenges with depression and drug use during his teenage years, which led to a transformative encounter with Christian rap. He pursued theological studies at Trinity College of Florida and occasionally guest preaches at Living Faith Bible Fellowship in Tampa, Florida.

Burgess co-founded the hip-hop collective HGA (His Glory Alone) and gained attention in the Christian rap community through social media and video-sharing platforms. His early work caught the interest of Lecrae, leading to a tour opportunity and a contract with Reach Records. Burgess released the mixtape "Who Is KB?" followed by his debut album, "Weight & Glory," which reached the top of the Billboard Christian and Gospel charts and secured a position on the Top Rap Albums chart.

He continued to release chart-topping albums, including "Tomorrow We Live," "Today We Rebel," and "His Glory Alone." The EP "100" earned him a Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop Song of the Year, and "His Glory Alone" received the Dove Award for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year. His fifth album, "His Glory Alone II," reached number four on the Christian chart, with the single "Miracles" featuring Lecrae also charting on the Gospel Singles chart.

In addition to his music career, Burgess is active as a speaker, author, and podcaster. He authored the book "Dangerous Jesus: Why the Only Thing More Risky than Getting Jesus Right Is Getting Jesus Wrong," which addresses topics such as race, nationalism, division, sanctity of life, and sexuality. The book was nominated for the ECPA New Author Award. Burgess also co-hosts the podcast "Southside Rabbi."

HGA, the movement Burgess leads, consists of multiethnic, urban men and women and has developed a global following. Through his albums, writing, and speaking, Burgess engages audiences at the intersection of hip-hop and Christian thought, encouraging honest and thoughtful faith conversations.
