Julius Randle

Julius Randle is a professional basketball player known for his strength, versatility, and resilience. Born in Dallas, Texas, Randle has built a notable National Basketball Association (NBA) career marked by significant achievements and impactful performances.

Randle was a McDonald's All-American during high school and played one collegiate season at the University of Kentucky, averaging 15.0 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. His performance earned him Third-Team All-American honors and helped lead the Wildcats to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship game. He declared for the 2014 NBA Draft after his freshman year and was selected 7th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. Randle's rookie season was cut short due to a leg injury. He returned to become a consistent contributor over the next three seasons before signing with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018. There, he averaged a career-high 21.4 points per game during his lone season.

Joining the New York Knicks in 2019, Randle became a central figure in the team's resurgence. He earned three All-Star selections and was named the NBA Most Improved Player in 2021. His tenure included All-NBA Second Team (2021) and Third Team (2023) honors. In October 2024, Randle was traded to the Timberwolves. In the 2024–25 season, he averaged 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over 69 games.
