Julien Simon-Chautemps

Julien Simon-Chautemps is a well-respected figure in the world of motor racing engineering. His career spanned multiple Formula One teams from 2007 to 2022, starting as a Technical Director at Prema Powerteam from 2003 to 2007 before transitioning to Trident Racing. From 2007 to 2010, Simon-Chautemps served as race engineer for Jarno Trulli at Toyota and Lotus, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability in a highly competitive field.

In 2011, Simon-Chautemps joined the Renault team, where he worked closely with numerous drivers including Vitaly Petrov, Kimi Räikkönen, Pastor Maldonado, Romain Grosjean, and Jolyon Palmer. His contribution to the team was significant, with his expertise in racing engineering proving instrumental to the success of the drivers he worked with. His career took another turn in 2017 when he joined Sauber, which later rebranded to Alfa Romeo in 2019, and he resumed his role as Kimi Räikkönen's race engineer.

Simon-Chautemps made a bold move in 2022 when he left Sauber to establish his own business, JSC7 Engineering Ltd.
