Julian Holguin

Julian Holguin is a media and entertainment executive whose career includes more than a decade of leadership across prominent brands in music and culture. Holguin has more than 14 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, with a focus on scaling and monetizing intellectual properties. He has held leadership positions at MRC Studios, Dick Clark Productions, and NBC Universal, developing expertise in media, digital publishing, streaming, television, and live events.

Holguin spent 10 years at Billboard, beginning as director of brand partnerships and advancing to president. During his tenure, he led strategic growth and innovation, guiding Billboard's evolution from a B2B trade publication to a consumer-facing music brand. As president, Holguin oversaw global business operations and played a key role in the company's merger with The Hollywood Reporter, the acquisition of Spin Media, its merger with Dick Clark Productions, and its sale to Penske Media Corporation. His leadership is noted for navigating complex corporate transactions while maintaining and expanding brand identity.

After Billboard, Holguin became chief executive of Doodles, an NFT company focused on art and entertainment in the Web3 space. At Doodles, he worked with the founding team to expand the company's reach in music, gaming, premium content, and consumer goods. His keynote presentation at NFT NYC highlighted Doodles' transition toward becoming a multifaceted entertainment company.

Holguin later became chief executive of Rolling Stone, overseeing the magazine's business operations and reporting to Penske Media Corporation CEO Jay Penske. Throughout his career, Holguin has been recognized for his ability to reinvent legacy media brands and engage with digital culture, combining operational expertise with creative direction in the media and entertainment industry.
