José Manuel Campa

José Manuel Campa is an international authority in the financial and economic world, whose strategic vision and deep understanding of markets make him an essential analyst of the global landscape. His chairmanship of the European Banking Authority (EBA) between 2019 and 2026 provided him with a privileged perspective on the challenges and opportunities of the financial sector. During this period, he also served on the European Systemic Risk Board, and the Committee of Governors and Heads of Supervision of the Basel Committee. Between 2009 and 2011, Campa served as Secretary of State for Economic Affairs in the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Finance, playing a key role in managing the economic crisis. During this period, he was a member of the Financial Stability Board, the board of the European Financial Stability Facility, the Economic and Financial Committee, and an alternate governor in multilateral financial institutions.
