Joseph Dominguez

Joseph Dominguez is the president and chief executive officer of Constellation Energy, a U.S. clean energy company with more than 32,400 megawatts of generating capacity and a workforce of 14,000. Under Dominguez's leadership, Constellation operates the nation’s lowest-carbon fleet among large power producers and serves more than 16 million homes and businesses, including a significant portion of the Fortune 100, with a portfolio of nuclear, wind, solar, hydroelectric, and natural gas facilities across 19 states. Dominguez oversees both the company’s competitive retail and commodities business and its role as a major supplier of clean energy.

Before joining Constellation, Dominguez held several roles in the energy sector, including CEO of ComEd, where he was responsible for delivering electricity to more than 4 million customers in Illinois. He also served as president and CEO of Exelon Generation and as executive vice president of governmental and regulatory affairs and public policy at Exelon, where he led the development and implementation of regulatory strategies at the federal, state, and regional levels. Earlier in his career, Dominguez was a partner at White and Williams LLP and an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, providing him with a foundation in legal and regulatory affairs.

Dominguez is known for public speaking and thought leadership, frequently addressing topics such as clean energy innovation, the future of the power grid, and the intersection of technology and sustainability at industry events and forums. He has addressed social equity and inclusive workplace cultures through public addresses and leadership initiatives. Dominguez holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a law degree, magna cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law, where he was honored as a Dean’s Scholar.
