Jordana Spiro

Jordana Spiro is an actress, director, and writer whose career spans more than two decades in film and television. Spiro trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, establishing a foundation for her work across a range of genres and roles. Her early television appearances include roles on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Beverly Hills, 90210," before securing a series regular role on the USA Network crime drama "The Huntress," where she played a bounty hunter alongside Annette O'Toole.

Spiro gained recognition for her starring role as P.J. Franklin in the TBS comedy series "My Boys," portraying a sports reporter navigating professional and personal relationships in a male-dominated environment. The series ran for four seasons and highlighted her comedic abilities. Spiro later led the Fox medical-crime drama "The Mob Doctor" and held recurring roles on series such as "Dexter," "The Good Wife," and "Blindspot." Her portrayal of Rachel Garrison in the Netflix crime drama "Ozark" contributed to the ensemble's SAG Award nomination for Best Cast. Spiro also appeared in all three installments of Netflix's horror trilogy "Fear Street" and recurred on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" as FBI Agent Shannah Sykes.

In addition to her acting, Spiro is a filmmaker with an MFA in Film from Columbia University. She received the Adrienne Shelly Foundation Fellowship and participated in the Film at Lincoln Center Artist Academy and the Berlinale Talent Campus in Berlin. Her short film "Skin" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, won the Women In Film Productions award, and earned an Honorable Mention at SXSW, with screenings at Telluride, Palm Springs, and AFI. Spiro is also a fellow of the Sundance Institute's Directors Lab and Screenwriters Lab.

Spiro's debut feature, "Night Comes On," which she directed and co-wrote with Angelica Nwandu, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, winning the NEXT Innovator Award and the Jury Prize at the Deauville American Film Festival. The film screened at numerous international festivals and was recognized by The New York Times. Spiro continues to work in American film and television, contributing to projects across drama, crime, and independent cinema.
