Jordan Smith

Jordan Smith is an American gospel and contemporary pop singer known for his vocal range and emotional delivery. Before gaining national attention, Smith performed with the Lee University Singers, serving as a soloist, section leader, and vice president of the ensemble. He performed for President Barack Obama and at the Vatican during his time with the group.

Smith's blind audition of Sia's "Chandelier" on Season 9 of NBC's "The Voice" earned a four-chair turn from coaches Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, and Blake Shelton. Smith went on to win Season 9, receiving $100,000 and a Republic Records recording contract. His performances led to significant commercial success, with one million singles sold and more than 57 million cumulative streams on YouTube, establishing him as the highest-selling artist to emerge from "The Voice." Smith also made history on Billboard's Christian Songs chart by holding the top two positions simultaneously with his covers of "Mary, Did You Know?" and "Hallelujah." Upon returning to Kentucky, Smith was named a Kentucky Colonel by the Secretary of State and was recognized as the Kentucky Monthly Kentuckian of the Year.

Smith's debut album, "Something Beautiful," featured a mix of original songs and traditional gospel standards. He later co-wrote Céline Dion's "Ashes" for the "Deadpool 2" soundtrack and recorded his second album, "Only Love," collaborating with producer RedOne, Andy Grammer, and John Legend. Smith represented Kentucky in the American Song Contest with his original track "Sparrow," finishing in third place. Smith returned to "The Voice" for the All-Star Showdown, representing Adam Levine in a competition among past champions.
