Jordan Clarkson

Jordan Clarkson is a Filipino-American professional basketball guard known for his contributions in the NBA and international basketball. After playing college basketball with the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and later transferring to the University of Missouri, where he earned second-team All-SEC honors and multiple SEC Player of the Week awards, Clarkson declared for the NBA Draft, forgoing his final year of eligibility. Selected 46th overall by the Washington Wizards and immediately traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, he earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team, an uncommon achievement for a second-round pick.

Clarkson's career trajectory shifted when he was traded to the Utah Jazz, where he established himself as a high-energy scorer off the bench. During his tenure with the Jazz, he posted a career-high 18.4 points per game, led the NBA with 203 three-pointers off the bench, and was named NBA Sixth Man of the Year, becoming the first Utah Jazz player to win the award. His 34-point performance against China helped secure the Philippines' qualification for the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, strengthening his connection to Filipino basketball and the country's sports culture.

Following his time with the Jazz, Clarkson joined the New York Knicks, contributing off the bench as the team advanced through the Eastern Conference playoffs and reached the NBA Finals.
