Jordan Bramble

Jordan Bramble is the CEO and co-founder of Antares Nuclear, a Los Angeles-based company focused on delivering reliable fission power for demanding environments on Earth and in space. Bramble's background includes multidisciplinary engineering, entrepreneurship, and federal policy. He holds degrees in systems engineering, physics, and statistics from George Mason University.

Earlier in his career, Bramble served at the White House Office of Management and Budget, worked as a systems engineer at Northrop Grumman, and was an astrophysics research assistant at George Mason University. He also co-founded and served as chief technology officer at Local Kitchens, a company that helps restaurants expand through a network of micro food halls.

At Antares Nuclear, Bramble has overseen significant fundraising and established the foundation for the company's next-generation nuclear power systems, which are designed for applications such as remote defense installations and lunar surface missions. Antares' flagship product, the R1 microreactor, is engineered to provide reliable, autonomous power in remote, austere, or contested environments, supporting energy independence for military, aerospace, and industrial clients. The company has secured a long-term enrichment services agreement with Urenco to supply High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) for its factory-produced microreactors, reinforcing a reliable Western fuel supply chain for advanced reactor commercialization.

Under Bramble's leadership, Antares received final regulatory approval from the Department of Energy for a heat-pipe-cooled, graphite-moderated nuclear reactor, marking the first new reactor design authorized under current U.S. standards in decades. The Antares Mark-0 test reactor became the first privately developed non-light-water reactor to achieve criticality in the United States in more than four decades, reaching this milestone at Idaho National Laboratory. The U.S. Air Force and the Defense Innovation Unit selected Antares to deploy a microreactor at Joint Base San Antonio as part of the Advanced Nuclear Power for Installations initiative.

Bramble advocates for nuclear power as a key enabler of resilience, space superiority, and next-generation missile defense. His work in the space domain centers on nuclear electric propulsion, using reactors to generate electricity for ion thrusters, which offers a power-density advantage over solar energy for missions beyond Earth orbit. Bramble regularly engages with lawmakers on Capitol Hill, emphasizing the bipartisan support for nuclear energy as it intersects with reindustrialization, clean energy, national security, and American jobs. He has presented his vision at forums such as the Milken Institute Global Conference and has been featured on podcasts discussing the strategic, technical, and geopolitical aspects of the nuclear energy sector.
