Jordan Davis is a multi-platinum country music singer and songwriter known for his personal storytelling and genre-blending sound. Signed to Universal Music Group Nashville's MCA Nashville division, Davis has released the albums "Home State," "Bluebird Days," and "Learn the Hard Way," building a catalog that includes heartfelt ballads, soulful anthems, and Southern rock-influenced country. A native of Shreveport, Louisiana, Davis graduated from Louisiana State University and initially worked as an environmental consultant before pursuing a career in music. After moving to Nashville, Davis faced early challenges but continued writing, eventually securing a publishing deal with ole Rights Management and later signing with UMG Nashville.
Davis released his Gold-certified debut album, "Home State," which features three consecutive No. 1 hits: the Platinum-certified "Slow Dance In A Parking Lot," the Double Platinum-certified "Singles You Up," and the Platinum-certified "Take It From Me." The debut established Davis as a significant new voice in country music. He received recognition as Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, was a two-time nominee for ACM New Male Artist of the Year, and was named Billboard's Top New Country Artist. Davis has also been named an Artist to Watch by Billboard, Rolling Stone, CMT, Pandora, Shazam, Amazon Music, Sounds Like Nashville, The Tennessean, SiriusXM, and Whiskey Riff.
The release of the "Buy Dirt" EP marked a pivotal point in Davis's career. The Luke Bryan-assisted "Buy Dirt" became a major hit, earning Davis a CMA Award for Song of the Year. His second full-length album, "Bluebird Days," produced four consecutive No. 1 singles and two Song of the Year award-winning titles, including the 5x Platinum-selling "Buy Dirt" and the 3x Platinum-selling "Next Thing You Know." Following "Bluebird Days," Davis received nominations for CMA's Song of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Video of the Year for "Next Thing You Know."
Davis has continued to push the boundaries of country music with his songwriting and genre-blending approach. The album "Learn the Hard Way" highlights a shift toward a more organic sound while maintaining influences from southern rock, blues, and classic country. The song "I Ain't Sayin'" reached No. 1 on US country radio, reinforcing Davis's reputation as a consistent hitmaker. Davis has also served as direct support for Luke Combs' stadium tour in New Zealand and Australia. He has appeared on "Good Morning America," "TODAY," "Late Night with Seth Meyers," "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "The Kelly Clarkson Show," and "College GameDay," reflecting his broad appeal in the country music industry and beyond.
