Jonny Dorsey

Jonny Dorsey is a public servant and social entrepreneur, serving as deputy chief of staff and senior advisor on innovation and impact in the Maryland Governor’s Office. In this role, Dorsey chairs the Maryland Council on Innovation and Impact, leading initiatives to improve government delivery and foster civic engagement. His expertise in strategic planning and program evaluation is grounded in a career that includes leadership roles in government and the nonprofit sector, such as director of innovation and policy at Emerson Collective and White House Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education.

Dorsey is known for his work in global health and social impact. He co-founded Global Health Corps, an organization that recruits and places emerging leaders with nonprofits to strengthen health systems worldwide, and FACE AIDS, a student-driven nonprofit acquired by Partners in Health. Dorsey has received fellowships from Echoing Green and Draper Richards, as well as the Next Generation Award from the Millennium Challenge Corporation. His commitment to public service is reflected in his roles as a trustee of Partners in Health and a board member of Plus1.

A graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Kennedy School, Dorsey’s academic background complements his experience in policy innovation and leadership development.
