Jonathan Trevor

Jonathan Trevor is Associate Dean and Professor of Management Practice at Oxford University Saïd Business School, specializing in strategic and organizational alignment. Trevor holds a doctorate in management studies from University of Cambridge and has served as a visiting scholar at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management. He previously lectured at University of Cambridge Judge Business School and was a Governing Body Fellow of Downing College, Cambridge.

Trevor is recognized for his work in organizational theory, organizational effectiveness, and human resource management, with a focus on the future of work and the connection between strategy and organizational priorities. He developed the Strategic Alignment Framework, a model designed to help leaders build resilient and efficient organizations. Trevor has published extensively on topics such as organizational design, leadership, and competitive advantage, and his research has been applied by leadership teams worldwide.

He is the author of "Align: A Leadership Blueprint for Aligning Purpose, Strategy and Organisation" and "Re:Align: A Leadership Blueprint to Overcome Disruption and Improve Performance." "Align" was a finalist for Business Book of the Year, and "Re:Align" was nominated as one of Bloomberg's Best Books in business and management. Trevor's thought leadership appears in journals such as Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review.

At Saïd Business School, Trevor serves as programme director for the online Oxford Enterprise Leadership Programme and teaches on the Executive Education, Oxford MBA, Management Diplomas, and Executive MBA programmes. He is also a Visiting Professor at Waseda Business School, Waseda University, Tokyo, and a Subject Matter Expert on Organisational Effectiveness at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, British Army. Trevor was the Shimomura Fellow at Development Bank of Japan, Tokyo.

Trevor consults with executive leadership teams across sectors to apply his research in organizational alignment and transformation. His research engagement includes collaborations with companies such as AXA, Bayer, BNY Mellon, Evonik, HSBC, IBM, JLL, Ricoh, Shell, Siemens, Unilever, Vodafone, and Zurich.
