Jonathan Chase

Diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at age 14, Jonathan Chase is an advocate, author, and mentor to young adults on the autism spectrum. Chase has worked in the autism field, collaborating with agencies, nonprofit organizations, and families to promote understanding and awareness of neurodiversity.

Based in Portland, Oregon, Chase presents nationwide, teaching about autism awareness, inclusion, and effective support strategies for individuals on the spectrum in home, classroom, and community environments. His book, "From Surviving to Thriving," serves as a guide for educators seeking to create more inclusive classrooms through practical accommodations.

With more than 15 years of experience as a professional musician, Chase incorporates music and creative activities into his approach to autism supports. His mentoring services include jazz concerts, Dungeons & Dragons sessions, and an annual summer series of foam sword fighting groups, offering diverse opportunities for social engagement and skill-building.

Chase is known for presentations at national conferences and educational events, where he shares practical strategies for inclusion and self-advocacy. He develops resources and workshops focused on empowering neurodiverse individuals and advancing acceptance in educational and community settings.
