Jonas Kjellberg

Jonas Kjellberg is a highly accomplished entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and thought leader with a remarkable track record of creating and scaling businesses, particularly within the digital and circular economy spaces. He is best known as one of the co-creators of Skype.

In 2020, Kjellberg founded NORNORM in collaboration with IKEA, applying a circular economy model to office interiors. NORNORM offers flexible and sustainable office solutions by promoting the reuse of furniture, contributing to the well-being of employees, businesses, and the planet. This venture has rapidly grown to become one of the fastest-growing circular companies in the world, often referred to as “The Uber of Office Furniture.”

Kjellberg has held numerous influential positions, including Head of Internet Investments at Kinnevik, where he oversaw investments totaling more than €700 million in companies such as Zalando, Avito, Lamoda, Jabong, and Hello Fresh.

He also served as Chairman of iCloud, which was later sold to Apple. His extensive experience in venture building includes successful exits like Nonoba, Player.IO, and Kenetworks, all sold to Yahoo. He is also an investor in Gavagai, the Swedish equivalent of OpenAI.

As the former Head of BCG Digital Ventures Nordics and a senior advisor at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Kjellberg played a key role in helping major corporations build and invest in artificial intelligence and innovative ventures.

Kjellberg is also a respected lecturer at Stanford University and the Stockholm School of Economics, where he teaches entrepreneurship and exponential growth. He has co-authored three business books with Harvard and Stanford professors, including "Gear Up, Business Creation; Plan your path to Success," which focuses on business creation and strategic development.

His academic background includes an MBA from Uppsala University and an engineering degree from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
