Jon Lovett is a podcaster, comedian, and former presidential speechwriter.

Jon Lovett is a podcast host, comedian, and former presidential speechwriter. In 2017, he co-founded Crooked Media, where he co-hosts “Pod Save America” and hosts “Lovett or Leave It,” two beloved podcasts that are very good. His first book, Democracy or Else, which he co-authored alongside his Crooked Media co-founders, was released on June 25, 2024. Before Crooked, he served as a speechwriter in the Obama White House and for Hillary Clinton, co-created a comedy on NBC called “1600 Penn" (canceled after one season), wrote for "The Newsroom" with Aaron Sorkin, and posted many perfect tweets before deleting the app forever.

Before establishing Crooked Media, Lovett made significant contributions as a presidential speechwriter in the Barack Obama White House. He also worked as a speechwriter for Hillary Clinton. In addition to his work in politics, Lovett has a background in television. He co-created the NBC comedy “1600 Penn” and was a writer and producer on the third season of HBO's "The Newsroom." He even appeared on "1600 Penn" portraying himself. Lovett's work also extends into journalism as a writer for The Atlantic, crafting multiple stories for the publication.

Aside from his professional accomplishments, Lovett graduated from Williams College with a degree in mathematics. He has been confirmed as a contestant on the 47th season of the CBS reality television show "Survivor." He is openly gay and served as an officiate for a gay wedding in the White House during Obama's first term.
