Johnny Sauter

Johnny Sauter is a driver in American stock car racing, recognized for his experience and competitive record in the sport. Sauter has reunited with ThorSport Racing for the upcoming NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series' season-opening event at Daytona International Speedway. Sauter, the 2016 Truck Series champion from Necedah, Wisconsin, will be piloting ThorSport's No. 66 Ford F-150 entry at the World Center of Racing.

Sauter began his racing career at age 18, advancing from the Sportsman Division at Wisconsin Dells Motor Speedway to the Late Model Division at LaCrosse Motor Speedway, where he won a feature race in his third start. He gained national attention by excelling in the ASA National Tour, capturing both the series championship and Rookie of the Year honors. Sauter transitioned to NASCAR, achieving a fifth-place finish in his Busch Series debut at Richmond and earning his first series win at Chicagoland Speedway. He continued to secure multiple victories and a top-10 points finish in the series. In later years, Sauter became a leading competitor in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, winning the series championship.
