Johnny Manuel

Johnny was born and raised in Flint, Michigan, a small city just outside Detroit in the USA.

As a kid he couldn’t be pulled away from the radio, obsessed with mimicking every note he heard. His parents soon realized Johnny had a very special gift so to further the development of his voice they encouraged him to join the church choir.

By the age of ten Johnny had recorded his first demo; a cover of Run DMC’s ‘It’s Like That’.

By the age of 14 he had a recording contract with Warner Records!

Johnny’s work in recording studios has seen him link with some of the biggest names in the music industry including David Foster, Walter Afanasieff, Jermaine Dupree and P Diddy.

The demand to see Johnny perform and hear the power of his soulful voice has taken him to all corners of the world; Switzerland, Portugal, UK, the Middle East and now to Australia. Touring here earlier this year with the California Crooners Club, Johnny was spotted by a Voice Australia‘s scout who approached him about competing in the recent season of the show.

As with his appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2017 when he made the finals, Johnny completely wowed audiences on The Voice Australia in 2020, this time going through to the Grand Final, gathering a huge following of fans along the way. Now living in Sydney, Australia, Johnny has been busy doing shows and preparing a campaign for the release of his brand-new single on March19th entitled “Lost In The Music”.

When many of Johnny’s musical peers have seen him perform and realized how outstanding he is, they have used his talent to augment their own vision. Moving forward, Johnny feels now is the time to concentrate on presenting himself as an artist in his own right. He has started channeling his energies into working with top writers and producers to create recordings that will firmly establish who he is.........a great song and a great voice is an undeniable combination!
