John Prothro Biography
John Prothro is an experienced executive with a background in international business leadership and Mergers & Acquisitions. A gambler at heart, Prothro began his professional career trading horses. He has since invested in and managed a unique group of businesses across the globe and spoken to audiences on topics ranging from private equity deal making to organizational learning and culture.
Prothro is currently the President and CEO of FootSolutions Franchise Group, a global footwear and orthotics retailer with over 70 locations. Prior to Foot Solutions, he was President of an industrial distribution company with offices in 15 countries. Prothro has lived and worked in both China and the United States and has served on several boards. He holds degrees from Texas A&M and Vanderbilt University, where he was a baseball player. A native of Alabama, he now lives in Alpharetta, GA, with his wife and four children.
