John Morgan

John Morgan is an American trial lawyer, entrepreneur, and political advocate best known as the founder of the personal injury law firm Morgan & Morgan, one of the largest plaintiffs’ firms in the United States.

Morgan was born on March 31, 1956, in Lexington, Kentucky, and later moved with his family to Winter Park, Florida. He earned both his bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. Early financial challenges led him to work various jobs while completing his education.

In 1988, Morgan founded Morgan & Morgan with the mission of representing individuals against large corporations and insurance companies. The firm grew rapidly through aggressive marketing and nationwide expansion, eventually employing thousands of staff and attorneys across the United States.

Beyond his legal career, Morgan is a prominent political donor and activist who has supported initiatives such as raising Florida’s minimum wage and legalizing medical marijuana.
