John C. Reilly

John C. Reilly is an actor, comedian, screenwriter, musician and producer whose versatility spans film, television and stage. He made his film debut in "Casualties of War" (1989) and gained recognition through supporting roles in "Days of Thunder" (1990), "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (1993) and "The River Wild" (1994). He collaborated with directors Paul Thomas Anderson on "Hard Eight" (1996), "Boogie Nights" (1997) and "Magnolia" (1999) and Terrence Malick on "The Thin Red Line" (1998). His performance in "Chicago" (2002) earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe nomination. He also worked with Martin Scorsese on "Gangs of New York" (2002) and "The Aviator" (2004).

Reilly is widely known for his comedic work, including "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" (2007), which earned him a Grammy nomination and a Golden Globe nod for the title song, as well as the Adam McKay comedies "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" (2006) and "Step Brothers" (2008) with Will Ferrell. He voiced the title character in the "Wreck-It Ralph" films and appeared in blockbusters including "Guardians of the Galaxy" (2014) and "Kong: Skull Island" (2017).

A regular presence in independent cinema, Reilly starred in "Cyrus," "We Need to Talk About Kevin," "Carnage," "The Lobster" and "The Sisters Brothers." In 2018, he portrayed Oliver Hardy in "Stan and Ollie," earning Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Award nominations. He also performs with his band John Reilly and Friends and has been recognized on stage, including a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Play for the 2000 production of "True West."
