Joe Manganiello

Joe Manganiello is an actor, producer, director, and author known for his work in film, television, and the fantasy gaming industry. Manganiello studied acting at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama before moving to Los Angeles, where he began his career with the role of Flash Thompson in "Spider-Man." Early television appearances included recurring roles on "How I Met Your Mother" and NBC's ER, as well as a role on "One Tree Hill."

Manganiello gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Alcide Herveaux in the HBO series "True Blood," a role that earned him a Scream Award for Breakout Performance. He later appeared as Big Dick Richie in Steven Soderbergh's "Magic Mike" and its sequel, "Magic Mike XXL." His film credits also include "Sabotage," directed by David Ayer. Manganiello authored the book "Evolution," with a foreword by Arnold Schwarzenegger, published by Gallery Books.

In the DC Extended Universe, Manganiello played Slade Wilson/Deathstroke, debuting in "Justice League." He made his directorial debut with the documentary feature "La Bare," which he also produced. Manganiello is an Emmy Award-winning voice actor and has directed and produced the official documentary about the history of Dungeons & Dragons, collaborating with Hasbro's eOne, Kyle Newman, and his brother Nick Manganiello.

Manganiello is a consultant for Dungeons & Dragons and has contributed to adventure modules and served as an ambassador for the brand. His D&D character, Arkhan the Cruel, has appeared on the web series "Critical Role," in the video game "Idle Champions," and in Dungeons & Dragons canon. He founded Death Saves, a company specializing in fantasy and heavy-metal themed streetwear, jewelry, clothing, and gaming accessories.

Manganiello serves as host and executive producer of the NBC primetime game show "Deal or No Deal Island." He played Mr. Crocodile in the Netflix series "One Piece" and starred opposite Vince Vaughn in the feature film "Nonnas," based on the story of Joe Scaravella and his Italian restaurant. Manganiello is active in philanthropy, serving on the board of trustees for UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
