Born on March 20, 1989, in Royal Leamington Spa, England, Joanna was raised in Caracas, Venezuela, in a family with deep multicultural roots—her background includes Cuban, Venezuelan, and Eastern European Jewish ancestry. Her personal history and bicultural experience have deeply influenced her comedic voice, which resonates across both English and Spanish-speaking audiences.

Joanna first gained widespread attention through her viral digital series Joanna Rants on Univision’s bilingual platform Flama.
