Joan Solotar

Joan Solotar is the global head of private wealth at Blackstone and serves on the firm’s management committee. In this role, Solotar leads Blackstone’s efforts to deliver institutional-quality alternative investment products to high-net-worth individuals and their advisors, overseeing a business that manages $250 billion in assets. Solotar oversees the growth of Blackstone’s private wealth platform, with a focus on trust, transparency, and education to build relationships with advisers and clients.

Solotar’s career reflects the evolution of Wall Street over three decades. Before joining Blackstone, Solotar was head of equity research at Bank of America Securities and was recognized as an Institutional Investor All Star financial services analyst at Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Solotar played roles in several landmark initial public offerings, including those of DLJ, Goldman Sachs, and Blackstone, and is known for strategic insight and team-building in the financial services industry.

Solotar has contributed to Harvard Business Review and co-authored the book "Truths from My Daughter." Solotar serves on the boards of First Eagle Investment Management and educational nonprofits, demonstrating a commitment to mentorship and community engagement.
