Joan Kohn

Joan Kohn is a nationally recognized interior design expert, author, and television producer. She is best known for her role as host, writer, and associate producer of HGTV’s "Kitchen Design" and "Bed & Bath Design," which aired for twelve seasons and were central to the network’s primetime schedule. Kohn also hosted nearly two dozen HGTV specials, including "The White House Christmas," "Designing for History: The Madame C.J. Walker Showhouse," "Christmas at Biltmore Estate," and the annual "Kitchen & Bath Industry Show."

Kohn is the author of "Joan Kohn's It's Your Kitchen: Over 100 Inspiration Kitchens" and "Joan Kohn's It's Your Bed and Bath", both published by Bulfinch Press. Her books have been widely reviewed by critics, design experts, book clubs, and readers.

A sought-after speaker and consultant, Kohn has presented at home and garden shows and design centers across the United States. She has served as a spokesperson for companies including In-Sink-Erator, Cutco, Mohawk Industries, and DuPont, and has judged design contests such as the "Sub Zero Design Awards" and "Detroit Home Magazine Awards". Her contributions to interior design publications include articles for "The Robb Report" and "HomeSpa Magazine". Kohn’s television production work has been recognized with two Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards.
